Men's Retreat

Men’s Retreat at Christ the King Center

On September 27 – 28, lay aside your cynicism for a weekend and let us ponder the question:  What relevance does a first century, crucified, Jewish Rabbi named Jesus have for my life today?  John 1:43-51, Jesus calling Nathaniel and Philip, will be our starting point as we dive into what the Reverend Jacob Smith calls the “Nazareth Principle.” Through this principle we will explore the distinction between skepticism and cynicism, why am I so cynical and how is Jesus the answer, and how can I share my faith in such away that offers a real answer to skepticism, while not perpetuating the cynicism in others.
