Sunday School

St. George’s Church's Sunday School programs are structured to meet the spiritual and developmental needs of various ages and are divided into groups:

Ages 3-6 (Pre-kindergarden-1st grade) The Godly Play Sunday school curriculum is supplemented by arts and crafts, puppet shows, songs, games, puzzles, and readings.

Ages 7-10 (2nd-5th grade) Elementary Group members also participate in the curriculum and learn to serve as acolytes.

Children begin the service with their families, remaining with them for the Collect of the Day.  Following the Collect, the children are escorted by their teachers to Olmsted Hall, where all gather as a group to greet, share, sing and pray with and for one another.

At the conclusion of the group session, the children accompany their teachers to their various classrooms. Upon completion of their classroom activities, the children rejoin their families in the sanctuary for Holy Communion.

Sunday School at St. George's Church is on vacation for the summer, running from September-early June.  Have a great summer and we'll see you in the fall!
