Prayer Ministry

Calvary-St. George's Prayer Team Ministry is a group of dedicated lay people with a desire to serve as a conduit of God's love, grace and mercy.

Prayer team members are invited to participate by the parish clergy, receive training and meet with clergy several times per year.  Members of the team serve at stations in the sanctuary during the distribution of bread and wine at the St George's 11:15 am and Calvary 6 pm services.

Persons seeking prayer for themselves or others approach a prayer team member (generally two to three at each service) and express their prayer concern.  The prayer team member prays for the person, keeping all concerns in the strictest confidence.

A healing service, including Holy Communion, is held at Calvary Church each Thursday at 12:10pm.  A priest will anoint any who wish with oil and pray a blessing.

A member of the prayer ministry team is available for one-on-one prayer following the service.
